Description: If festive flavours are your thing, then our mix of cassia, lemon peel and cloves is our Christmas gift to you! Gluhwein is essentially German Mulled Wine… Who doesn’t love hot spiced wine?!
SUGGESTED USE
Just 1-2 tablespoons of our Gluhwein spice blend – depending how spiced you like the end result to be - will transform a bottle of red wine into a delicious warming drink; add a little demerara sugar to the wine a long with festive spices and some fresh slices of orange and warm gently (do not boil). Once warmed through, pour into mugs, or heat proof glasses and enjoy. If wine isn’t your thing, simply swap wine for red grape juice or pomegranate juice. Alternatively add the spice blend to cider or apple juice to make mulled cider instead but why stop there?! Grind down this spice blend and add to cranberry sauce and chutney or sprinkle into stuffing and cakes. Stir the ground down spice into a mixture of sugar and due over mince pies. Gluhwein isn’t just for Christmas… Wrap this blend in a muslin cloth and add to cordials, syrups, jams, jellies and marinades for pouring over gammon, chicken and pork.DISCLAIMER
